Top 100 Hits Of The Ladies Of the 80′s

From: The Backlot
 #52
Missing You”
Diana Ross
The second Diana song on the list was written for her by Lionel Richie, as a tribute to Marvin Gaye, and had an unusual run on the Hot 100. It languished outside of the top 40 in late 84/early 85 for 14 weeks before finally catching hold, and reached its peak of #10 in April 1985 after 20 weeks (coincidentally, just as the Commodores Marvin tribute “Nightshift” was in the top ten). It was her final top ten and top 40 song on the pop chart.
