April 4th is National D.A.R.E. Day

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program, founded in 1983 by the Los ANgeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Unified School DIstrict, helps give children in grades K-12 the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence. Nearly 75% of American school district offer D.A.R.E. training.
