Tim Murphy of New York Magazine ventured into Central Park for NY's Urban Bear Weekend in May 2009. In the process, he engaged in some field research on bear lingo, asking some of the men in attendance how he'd be categorized. One man most accurately designated Murphy as an "otter", but he also got some more interesting replies–like raccoon and meerkat.
On another note, I must be going to the wrong Home Depots… because all I ever see are lesbians.
