January 2nd is 55 MPH Speed Limit Day

January 2 is a day that rings a sour note to some and a blessing to others.  On this day, January 2, 55 MPH Speed Limit Day, Richard Nixon lowered the speed limit in the USA to conserve gas during the oil crisis.  A lower speed limit does save gas, but many did not, and still do not like this change.  On this day, observe the law and obey the limit.  It is good for the environment.
