January 18th is SEWARD POLAR BEAR JUMPOFF

Participants dressed in wacky costumes will plunge
into the near-freezing waters of Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska.

The event is part of a weekend long festival that includes silent auctions,
turkey bowling, a carnival, seafood buffet, parade and more!

Since 1986, the Polar Bear Jump-Off has been raising money for the American
Cancer Society, aiding in the mission to eliminate cancer and create more birthdays.

Pledges raised through the Polar Bear Jump-Off help provide cancer patients
and their families with information and support,
fund research that leads to improved treatments, educate the public about
cancer prevention and early detection and help ensure that everyone has
access to lifesaving cancer screenings.

Our goal is to create a world where more people survive cancer so they
can celebrate another birthday.
This year more that 11 million people will be able to do that thanks to the
supporters of the Polar Bear Jump-Off.
