He was an underdog
Everyone loves an underdog, right? Despite his impressive current track record, Rodgers attracted little attention from Division I programs and considered quitting football altogether after being rejected from Florida State University. In an interview with E:60 in 2011, he attributed his underdog status to his subpar physical stats. As a high school player, he was only 5’10 and weighed 165 lb.
Ironically enough, Rodgers was originally passed by The San Francisco 49ers in 2005 before slipping to the Packers’ 24th pick.
