Favorite Classic Soap Hunk of the Day: January 31, 2008

Hank Cheyne
From:  Favorite Hunks & Other Things
I remember Hank Cheyne when he first hit TV screens playing Scott on Another World. Scott was originally a great character, but the writers painted him into a corner as the nice guy, focusing their time on writing more from the new hunk on the show, Sam Fowler played by Robert Kelker Kelly who was playing a more complex young hunk. Hank did have a nice goodbye story line with the sad death by his girlfriend from AIDs. Hank went on to have a hotter story line on Sunset Beach.

Hank Cheyne (born August 13, 1958, in Santa Maria, California) is an American actor known for playing Ricardo Torres in the soap opera Sunset Beach. He also played the role of Scott LaSalle on Another World (1986–1988) and Anton on Saints & Sinners.

Born Henry Garcia, Hank graduated from Santa Clara University in 1980 with a B.S.C. in accounting where he also played varsity baseball. After graduating from Santa Clara, he attended and graduated from UCLA Law School. It was while attending UCLA that Hank was "discovered." He took 'Cheyne' as his acting name from the town Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is where his parents met.
