Favorite Soap Hunk For December 9, 2007

JON HENSELY
From:  Favorite Hunks & Other Things
As I have said before, I do not watch Daytime soaps, but did watch a bit when a kid. Mostly Another World, Texas and The Young and The Restless. But...I do follow my daytime hunks. Jon Hensley (Not to be confused as Google is, with John Hensley from Nip/Tuck, whom by the way gives me the creeps) has been on As The World Turns for many years. I have followed Jon through his young hunk shirtless years through his current look, still hot. Jon did it for me with his longer hair and scruffy look, he always seemed in pictures and clips to be sweating, just in from doing some farm chores. Anyway, you can see where my farm fantasy's went, but anyway, here is Jon Hensley. It was hard to find good pics of Jon. I had a few, including the fifth one down, which was used for promo for ATWT, but I remember seeing some pretty hot pics of this guy in magazines years ago. Wish I had saved more of my older magazines.

Jon Hensley (born August 26, 1965 in Browns Mills, New Jersey) is an American actor, singer and songwriter, currently portraying Dr. Meade on The Bold and the Beautiful. He is best recognized for his portrayal of Holden Snyder on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns, a role he held from 1985 until the series finale on September 17, 2010.

Hensley's first television role was in 1985 on the daytime drama One Life to Live as Brody Price. That role was short-term, but led to Hensley being cast in the role for which he is best known, the role of rebellious farmhand Holden Snyder on As the World Turns.
Hensley started on the series in 1985, and became a popular player when the character of Holden and his "wrong side of the tracks" love affair with rich Lily Walsh (Martha Byrne) set the stage for much story in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Hensley ended his first stint in 1988. During his first break from the show, Hensley lived in London and studied at the

Shakespeare Academy of Music, Drama, and Art.
Hensley returned to the series in 1990 and continued on until 1995. He returned again in 1997, where his character eventually resumed his relationship with Lily. The couple is considered to have reached "supercouple" status and are recognized as one of the serial's most recognized supercouples.
Outside of daytime, Hensley has starred in the USA Network television movie Wounded Heart, and made appearances on Beverly Hills, 90210, and Almost Perfect.

This is Jon in his classic farm look.
Glad I saved the magazine this came from!
Hensley returned to daytime in May 2012 in the recurring role of Dr. Meade on the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

Hensley dated several actresses in the daytime industry, including a relationship with actress Renee Props, who played his sister Ellie Snyder on "ATWT", Hunter Tylo, and Melissa Reeves.
He met costar Kelley Menighan, who played Emily Stewart, and the couple were married on May 25, 1996. They have three children, a daughter Sophie May Hensley (born December 23, 1998), a son Spencer James Hensley (born January 31, 2002) and another daughter Georgia "Gigi" Grace Hensley (born June 28, 2007).

Trivia

Hensley's 1997 return to "ATWT" was in part the result of a bidding war for his services; the show All My Children was interested in him coming aboard as Jake Martin.
He is well known for being an avid golfer.
