The 10 Hottest Moments of George Clooney

Down and dirty in Up in the Air

Up in the Air is one of the few movies I can recall that starts off amazingly funny and interesting, then ends up pretentious and terrible. I ask you: Why does the movie want us to think George Clooney’s job is terrible? Jason Reitman’s movie pretends to have sympathy for fired employees in tough jobs, yet it asks us to have contempt for a man whose job is ultimately as tough and harsh as anybody else’s. Anyway: The opening scenes where Clooney, a very frequent flyer, talks shop with fellow business class jetsetter Vera Farmiga are both incredibly petty in their glorification of white-collar perks and quite funny and alluring. The chemistry feels real, and Clooney’s quick snark makes him attractive in a cocky, unfazed way.
