John Haritan, 30, was arrested by police in Key West, FL on January 11, 2013 and charged with aggravated battery on an officer, firefighter, EMT, etc. (Fla. Stat. 784.07.2d). No further details have been released surrounding the circumstances of his arrest.
Haritan is a former Abercrombie & Fitch model perhaps best known for his underwear ad campaign. He was also a standout defensive back for Florida International University. He led the team in tackles in both 2002 and 2003 and ranks as the team's third all-time leader in career tackles with 295. He holds the FIU single-game tackles record of 21 in a game against Youngstown State in 2004.
