STRIPPERS ON BROADWAY — SHOCKER!

From: Tabloid Prodigy
So have you ever heard of Chippendales? The Thunder From Down Under?

Well, none of that is going to matter anymore: Magic Mike, the movie about Channing Tatum’s stripper days is officially hitting the Great White Way in musical form.

The gorgeous actor confirmed the news on his Twitter that the move that was teased last June is going to become a reality.

Per Deadline, songwriters Next to Normal’s Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey will write the songs and Glee writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will pen the book (aka the play part of the production). We don’t know if Tatum—the one, the only, the real Magic Mike—will be making his Broadway debut onstage, but he is confirmed as one of the show’s producers.

No word on whether or not Tatum will make an appearance to shake his thing on stage….

…. which means that most of the people reading this have suddenly lost interest.

But have no fear: rumor has it that the possible sequel or prequel to the men-on-film film is pretty far ahead in the script phase, so you’ll be able to salivate over him once more on your movie screens.

Which most of you do anyway. Seriously, who checked out White House Down for the story line?
