This almost (okay, all the way) comically blunt tough guy is a B-movie fave. All six-and-a-half feet of him were lovingly captured in quite a few noir and western genre flicks.

Definitely enjoyed him opposite Joan Crawford...wonder who was the better hung? He's another of those guys who you can just tell thinks movie-making is for pussies. It probably is.
