Orlando Bloom Shirtless in NYC

 One of the few upsides to the subsaharan heat wave sweeping over New York City is the opportunity to spot celebs like Orlando Bloom shirtless while out for a stroll. Even his faithful pup looks like he’s had enough fresh air for the day and would prefer to chill out in Orlando’s air conditioned apartment.

The actor was spotted out with his dog, his son Flynn, and a nanny on Tuesday on the sidewalk in New York City. Sporting flip flops, mid-calf sweats and the classic movie star disguise of dark shades and a baseball cap, Orlando also showed off a peek of his underwear. American Apparel? While we can’t truly make out Mr. Bloom’s brand preference, we can see from the white waistband and salmon fabric that he’s a man who prefers to rock color the one place where the sun isn’t shining.

We wonder if the British actor is wishing for a taste of his more temperate hometown weather right about now, but with Mr. Bloom scheduled to make his Broadway debut in Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet later this summer, it seems he won’t be going anywhere for a while.
