Butthead of the Month

GABRIEL FROM SÃO PAULO
Interview by Matthew Lowe
Photography by Gabriel Almeida
23-year-old artist Gabriel from São Paulo has cultivated a mustache that makes him look a bit like one of The Three Musketeers or Salvador Dalí. When we spoke over Easter weekend, he was just about to move to Utopian Brazilian capital Brasília for a three-month painting sabbatical. Gabriel’s always on the lookout for the elusive Brazilian ginger, and when he finally gets one in his bed, he’ll do him with all the lights on.

Matthew: I love your mustache. Have you always had one?
Gabriel: Not always. It started to grow when I was nineteen, but was really thin and patchy. Then, about a year ago, it finally filled out. It’s the only facial hair I can grow so I’m determined to grow a respectable one.
Does your mustache attract a lot of guys?

My life definitely became more sexual once I grew my mustache. Guys used to only see me as this cute boy who chased them, but now I’m the one getting chased. I've never shaved it off completely. I’m a bit like Samson in a way, I’m afraid of what might happen to my sexual powers if I shaved.

You mentioned that your birthday is at the end of the month. Are you looking forward to turning twenty-four?
My life works in twelve-year cycles so it’s time to search for new experiences.
Such as?
I used to only be a top, but I've started to bottom. I’m really enjoying it. I’m typically really bossy during sex, but I like that I don’t have to be so active. It’s more relaxed.
What’s your favorite position?
I like when a guy puts my knees on my shoulders, and I get to watch him as he fucks me. I’m extremely visual. The lights have to be on. I like to watch every step, every part of the body. If I can’t see everything, sex loses something. My eyes, they’re the doors to my sexual pleasure.
What other changes are you making?
I’m moving to Brasília next week. I’m staying at a friend’s house for a few months to paint.
What are you going to paint?

I want to make portraits of the guys I used to date. Nude portraits. I've never painted a guy I've had sex with before as it would reveal too much of what I thought of him. I can be quite distant in relationships.

Do you paint them from the front or the back?
I’d prefer to paint them from the front. That way you can see their cock. I really prefer cock to ass. The shape, the color, the texture… I don’t usually paint cocks. I do draw a lot of them though, on little sheets of paper. Different kinds…  Cut, uncut, giant, very small. I like drawing them in line at the bank. Sometimes I draw vaginas too.
How come?
I think they’re pretty. I really like the shape and the lines – you can draw a vagina with three lines. But then, I don’t know vaginas really well. Cock’s more my thing.
How do you like your cocks?
I like a big cock with ginger pubic hair. I love gingers. They are really rare in Brazil. When I see one, I always think about what color his pubes are. Are they the same color as his hair, his eyebrows or his facial hair?
What is your favorite color of ginger pubic hair then?
When it’s really, really light… Almost yellow. Like ginger, but almost albino. I’d love to know a guy like that.

What do you see in this inkblot?
Two chickens fighting, or maybe dancing.
