BONUS

One year at DC Pride (it was a morning parade then), my friend called me to say he'd be late because he still hadn't been home. I told him to come (I knew what he was wearing) because if he didn't he'd miss the parade. About two minutes after joining me a Drag Queen on a float yelled to him, "HONEY IF HE WAS

HOT YOU AIN'T GO NO SHAME IN THAT WALK!" My friend eventually forgave me. What kind of trouble or embarrassing moment have you had during Pride?

 My Answers:
1. Tell me about your first Pride.
It was in 2004, Cincinati Ohio, was the first time I had ever seen that many LGBT's all in one spot.  It was only a couple of years after first coming out.
2. What did that first Pride mean to you?
It gave me a sense of freedoom and a sense of belonging, nothing that I was not alone.
3. How many different Prides have you been to?
I have to to a least one Pride even every since then, but  in 7 different cities.
4. Do you fly the Pride Flag and/or stick it to anything?
I will fly a Pride Flag, and have Pride stickers on my car
5. Do you still celebrate Pride? What does it mean to you now?
Yes, It still gives one a sense of belonging, and helps to promote the fight for equality.
6. Does Pride need improving? If so, what changes would you make?
I think as much as all of Pride is great, some focus needs to made more on "family" and not so much emphases on drag queens, leather, sex, etc....
7. How do you give back?
I have been very involved in the fight for equality, working to elect gay-friendly public officials, and support gay equality issues.
