Years ago, an elderly acquaintance of mine, when discussing Connie Francis's rape by a black man, looked off into the distance and muttered, "That's...gotta be tough." It  wasn't just the rape she meant. I think for people of her generation, the myth of the black super penis was particularly frightening/titillating. Imagine, then, seeing Raquel Welch buddying up with football player Jim Brown in 100 Rifles—both at the peak of their physical perfection.
