Randy Ritchwood

aka "Wood" from I Love New York



 STAGE NAME: RANDY 
TALENT: ACTING, MODELING and SINGING 
INTERESTS: Athletics, Weight Lifting, Personal Training, Carpentry, Welding, Truck Driving, Dancing and Parenting.

A NATIVE OF NEW JERSEY. RANDY WAS RAISED IN THE CITY OF NEWARK.
  Randy currently lives in East Orange, NJ. He was educated in the East Orange school system and graduated from East Orange High School.


Randy cites his Dad; Robert Jordan, his Mom; Barbara Ritchwood Hill and his three children Jaleel, Kierrah and Kya Ritchwood as his soul inspirations that keep him moving forward.
 Randy has a strong and positive outlook on life, which keeps him focused on his journey towards success. He has been entertaining for eight years in music, modeling and acting, and he works hard to achieve his goals.
 Randy's musical talents are drawn from his Mom and Dad who have an extensive background in Gospel music. However, acting became his passion and he continues to progress consistently in this field. He attended Weist Barron Acting School in New York City and has appeared in several television shows. He has performed in theatre, appeared in videos and reality television.
 Randy was named "Mr. Romance 2005" for the Oxygen Network and is the First Black Male to be featured on the cover of the Harlequin Romance Novels African-American series.
 Randy believes in giving back to his community and has involved himself in a number of charities throughout New Jersey:

"Strike against Stroke" (May 11, 2005) Randy accompanied Will Downing with his campaign to bring greater awareness to stroke prevention in the African-American community. Will, Randy and many other known faces in the Entertainment Industry participated in this event that included unlimited bowling, celebrity bowling challenge, giveaways and free health information.

 "Food Drive for Families in Need" (November 17, 2006) Randy organized a Food Drive to help feed Homeless Families, Deprived Families and Children in need within the East Orange area.
"Ariel Fights Alopecia Areata" (April 21, 2007) Randy was a Sponsor and Judge for a basketball event to help fight Alopecia. Ariel, the little girl who was the focus of this event and is fighting this disease made headlines in the Bergen Record and Randy was delighted to help her and the Community that fights for this cause.

"Baby Land, Women of Domestic Violence" (August, 2007) Randy is a proud supporter and donator to Baby Land, an organization against Domestic Violence. He is against Domestic Violence and spreads the word to anyone in need that fall victim to violence in the home.
