Hillary Clinton made history Thursday night when she became the first woman ever to accept the Democratic nomination for the presidency of the United States of America.
Clinton delivered a powerful speech that included her progressive plans for the country and, perhaps most importantly, her intention to “defend all our rights: civil rights, human rights and voting rights, women’s rights and workers’ rights, LGBT rights and the rights of people with disabilities.”
There was an overwhelming sense of hope among the 19,000-strong crowd (plus millions more watching from home), so needless to say, one hell of a celebration kicked off inside the Wells Fargo Center when all was said and done, complete with an abundance of balloons and surprise pyrotechnics:
