The Kids are Alright
Otherwise known as the movie that taught everyone how much middle-aged lesbians enjoy straight porn, The Kids are Alright features some great performances by Julianne Moore and Annette Benning as a pair of lesbian moms going through a relationship crisis. As their kids sneak about to discover their biological father (Mark Ruffalo), moms Moore and Benning become the prototypical long-married couple: eternally devoted to their kids, and to one another. Few movies revere motherhood in such a unique and interesting way.
