I've always liked Marlo Thomas as an actress - but having read this book, I don't think I would enjoy working for her. I was, however, thoroughly entertained by Mr. Atholl's adventures as a majordomo for That Girl and her husband, Phil Donahue

Sunday Sport: TKO, Championship Cricket and America's Cup

From: Speed o Rex
Yesterday we reported on the boxing match to be held last night at Las Vegas. Today we can report that Andre Ward is the best in the world.  TKO.  Full Stop.

A Champions Trophy Final will be played between India and Pakistan, today in International Cricket, at The Oval. The Oval is, of course, perhaps the most storied and historic Cricket Grounds, in Kennington, Lambeth, South London.  It has seen the greatest in cricket since its opening in 1845.

Today spectators at The Oval will see even more great cricket, a Champions Trophy Final.  Pakistan's fast bowler, Mohammad Amir,  is expected to make an impact in the game, having returned from an injury and having practiced well on Friday.  Azhar Mahmood, Pakistan's bowling coach, said Amir was fit but would not commit to playing him in the final.  Amir, though, has been wicketless in recent play, but Pakistan has others who could take up the slack.  Amir has been a near-constant presence in the Pakistan XI since his return to international cricket at the start of 2016, playing 47 out of the side's 57 international matches, across formats, in this period. This is the first major tournament of the Virat Kohli era.

Readers of this space will remember Kohli's standout season last year, and India has been reaping the benefits.   India has become the leading force in the limited-overs formats, which the English County Leagues have ignored all together.  It would seem that future money lays there, as these limited overs matches are also limited in time.  Rather than a five day affair, each match is played in a day, or rather five or so hours on the ODI circuit, or perhaps three hours in the Twenty20 format.

While India will play well, as always, on Sunday, Pakistan should have little fear ahead of Sunday’s final at The Oval.

In Bermuda:  America's Cup Finals began yesterday between Oracle Team USA and Emirates Team New Zealand, who were the final qualifiers of the preliminary competitions.  Racing continues twice a day, potentially until June 28th, with the first team to reach seven points taking all the glory.  New Zealand, winners of this year's Louis Vuitton Cup, started the competition at -1, but won both races yesterday, so now leads with  1 point.  Two races are on today's agenda.

In US Open Golf, American Brian Harman leads, going into today's final round.  Commentators are vexed because the major champs have all been left in the dust this US Open, while several golfers are on the hunt for their first major championship.  Should be  a great round to watch, if you are into golf and/or surprises.

MODEL OF THE DAY: CLARK @ CORBIN FISHER…

From: Daily Squirt
CORBIN FISHER: Once you check out Clark’s body, you’ll see why we couldn’t pass on the chance to watch this meaty and handsome football jock in action – on and off the field!

During his interview we cut to him outside demonstrating his athletic proficiency for the guys. Make no mistake, they were not letting him win – Clark was just schooling the other guys! It’s not hard to see how, he’s the picture of athleticism and definitely isn’t exaggerating his football skills.

Cutting back to him on the bed, Clark strips down, shows off his buff body, and puts on a demonstration of his virility again – blasting out a hot load!

Heart Attack

We like our porn stars to successfully pretend to be losing themselves in the moment, but Rhodes wasn't pretending—from the beginning of his career in 2004, nobody came off as more lost in a series of moments. He topped and bottomed, eventually bottoming out in 2012 after steroid abuse and recreational drug use probably led to a heart attack in his sleep.

Upon his death, he was the rare star who received a lengthy New York Times obituary, albeit one entitled: "An Early Death but Perhaps Not a Surprise."

CULTURE SHOCK
1985

We need to discuss Soul Kiss. It was Olivia’s most critically maligned album. It’s also my favorite Olivia album. It was slick, sexy, and veered into camp at times, which should not be dismissed. The gloriously schlocky “Culture Shock” is universally loathed, but I think it’s a hoot.
