Comedian Tig Notaro introduced her newborn twins to the world in a brave shirtless photo that received a lot of attention on Facebook last July.
The picture shows Notaro holding her babies, while also revealing what her chest now looks like after her double mastectomy.
The lesbian funny lady made headlines in 2012 when she revealed during a stand-up show that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in both of her breasts.
Since then, she has performed topless in order to bring awareness to breast cancer, and was even nominated for an Emmy for her 2015 HBO special, Boyish Girl Interrupted.
Later that year, Notaro announced that she was expecting twins via surrogate with her wife, Stephanie Allynne, and they were just born on June 26.
Comments immediately poured in after she posted the topless photo with her twins, praising the comedian for being so open about her cancer treatment.
“I remember watching your documentary and sobbing when it happened that you wouldn’t be having a child then,” wrote fan Alex Dehoff. “I thought no one could deserve a baby as much as you.”
