Octopus Dreams
Road to Rio: Sam Mikulak
Seven-time NCAA champion Sam Mikulak took to the floor for the men's all around with the US men's gymnastic team. Sam is joy to watch flying threw the air and across the mat.
If... however he doesn't medal, I think he may have a dance career ahead of him....

Vintage Black Men
"Over the years countless men (and women too) have stripped off for the cameras either in full-on action scenes or just to pose naked. Many of them these days are anonymous – we have no idea who they are. Here at the blog we get many requests to identify guys and it’s often a tough job or impossible to locate them. These sexy and built black guys are among the many we just cannot put names to. It’s a shame, cos we’d love to meet them!" -- Vintage Gay Stars

Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow Win Bronze at Rio and Celebrate in the Most Adorable Way Possible
From: Towleroad
Tom Daley and his synchronized diving partner Dan Goodfellow won the bronze medal in the synchro 10m platform dive today.
Daley finished fourth in the same event at the London games in 2012. He and Goodfellow waited in agony as the judges deliberated over their scores.
Once the scores came in, and the bronze was assured, Daley and Goodfellow celebrated in the most adorable way possible: by hugging and falling into the pool.

The Guardian reports:
Not all of their dives had been perfect up to that point but with the pressure on Tom Daley and his 10m platform diving partner Daniel Goodfellow delivered. As they did so, they secured the bronze that for Daley laid to rest the demons of London, when he finished fourth in the same event, and four years earlier in Beijing when had come last as a 14-year-old amid a very public falling out with his dive partner. After jousting over five rounds for third, the pair executed a difficult back three and a half somersault pike that guaranteed bronze. Their coach, Jane Figueiredo, let loose an ear-piercing scream and the rest of the watching British diving entourage went wild.
Daley’s fiancé, Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, was on hand at the event on Monday to cheer him on.

Antigay Politician Caught In Sex Scandal Can’t Stop Talking In Circles, Refuses To Resign
The strange tale of Bill Kintner continues.
Here’s what we already knew: He doesn’t want gay people to get married or adopt, for trans people to have any rights at all, and for queers to be served by businesses. And he also enjoys a good Skype jackoff session on his state-issued computer with women he just met.
The details are vague and a little contradictory, so it’s hard to know who to believe, but this is what we’ve learned from the Senator so far… According to one account, he met a nice lady on a trip in July of last year. But according to another, she pursued him on Facebook. Either way, they soon found themselves engaging in what he calls “cybersex via her invitation over Skype.”
Note how he’s careful to insert “at her invitation” into his explanation! As if he simply had no choice. A lady invited him to jerk off on camera, it would be rude to refuse!
Anyway, after their fun sexy times, someone said told him they’d recorded the session and were going to bribe him. Their price: $4,500. (That seems low! Must not have been a great cam session.) Bill was having none of that, so he went to the police. The cops investigated, and it looks like the extortionists are overseas and there’s not a lot that they can do to bring them to justice.
But now the governor of Nebraska’s called for Bill’s resignation. That’s a good call, but for the wrong reasons. Bill should resign because he’s a homophobic monster, not because he fooled around with a lady online.
Yes, he’s married, and the whole situation probably sucks for his wife (who, incidentally, is an advisor to the governor). But even if he cheated on his wife (and we don’t know, maybe they have an open relationship) that’s no reason to disqualify him for office.
Kick him out for being opposed to basic civil rights for LGBTs. Kick him out for being careless about his digital security. Kick him out for his ludicrously messianic statement that he must remain in office because “I am right where God wants me to be.”
But don’t kick him out for sending sexy videos on the internet. If that’s the policy, none of us would ever have jobs.
Amazon Releases “Transparent” Season 3 Trailer
"The lesson is to be our best selves."From: NewNowNext
After announcing a September 23 premiere date for the third season of Transparent, Amazon released a beautiful trailer for the new season last night.
According to Amazon: “[In the third season], the Pfefferman family splinters into disparate journeys on their continued path of self-discovery. After a jarring reality check, Maura seeks to become the woman she envisions through gender confirmation surgery. All paths converge on a family cruise to Mexico, affirming that though their family history is murky, each Pfefferman is their truest self when they come together.”
Aside from Maura’s journey toward surgery, the trailer shows Shelley (Judith Light) discovering her personal “brand,” Sarah (Amy Landecker) continuing to explore BDSM, Ali (Gabby Hoffman) questioning her gender and sexual identity and Josh (Jay Duplass) attempting to make amends with both Rabbi Raquel Fein (Kathryn Hahn) and his son, Colton.

USA Men’s Gymnastics Team Considers Competing Shirtless
From: NewNowNext
Team USA’s men’s gymnastics team has a novel new idea to get more people to watch them compete: wear less clothing. At least that’s what US all-around national champion Sam Mikulak suggests as a way of getting more eyeballs on their work in a sport where women often get the fame, the glory and the endorsement deals.
Said, Mikulak in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, “Maybe compete with our shirts off” to get more viewers, adding, “People make fun of us for wearing tights. But if they saw how yoked we are maybe that would make a difference.”
Mikulak’s comments reflect a new strategy by team USA to get attention. In short: make everyone thirsty.
You may recall that earlier this year, the men’s gymnasts were in Rio de Janeiro for an Olympics recon trip. The guys made sure to maximize their PR potential by posting a shirtless squad selfie on Copacabana beach that sent the internet into a tailspin.
The WSJ reports:
And there’s something to the idea of working the objectification angle. After all, the biggest story from this year’s opening ceremony was Pita Taufatofua, the Tonga flagbearer who entered the Olympic stadium scantly clothed and oiled-up.
Gymnast Jake Dalton says that showing off is a way Team USA can get attention given the current fitness-obsessed culture. After all, “We have great physiques,” Dalton explains. “Incredible physiques,” he adds
And you can’t really argue with them on that point.
Team USA’s Men’s gymnastics team will be competing in the Olympic final tonight. They have their best chance at winning a team gold medal since 1984. So there’s more to watch than just their taut torsos and thunderous thighs. Though those will be on display as well.

The WSJ reports:
That [photo] wasn’t an accident. It’s one of the ways they think they can get attention in a country that showers glory upon gold-medal-winning women gymnasts while ignoring America’s less-successful men’s team.
So the men’s team has been brainstorming ways to market their sport better. They would like to be objectified.
[…]
…there’s a feeling on the men’s team that even if they won gold, they wouldn’t enjoy the stardom that America confers upon its top female gymnasts. Jonathan Horton was the top American men’s gymnast at the 2008 Olympics, where he won silver on high bar. That same year, the top American women’s gymnasts were gold medalists Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson, who instantly became household names.
“You would think that the top guy in a big-time sport like that could get, like, not a LeBron James contract, but some good money,” Horton said. “You really can’t make a living off men’s gymnastics.”
And there’s something to the idea of working the objectification angle. After all, the biggest story from this year’s opening ceremony was Pita Taufatofua, the Tonga flagbearer who entered the Olympic stadium scantly clothed and oiled-up.
