“You Came”
Kim Wilde

Kim only hit the U.S. top 40 twice, with the Certified Snicks 80’s Classic “Kids In America,” and her #1 remake of “You Keep Me Hanging On.” But she almost had a third Top 40 entry with “You Came,” which hit #41 in October 1988.

In 2006 Kim remade “You Came” with a rock edge.

Five Dumbass Antigay Activists Who Unintentionally Helped Our Cause This Year

From: Queerty
Governor Bobby Jindal
Never interfere with an enemy while he’s in the process of destroying himself. This political truism certainly applies to some of our own worst enemies, many of whom had awful, self-inflected wounds in 2015. And the world took note, punishing them by heaping loses upon them.

Check out the five anti gay activists whose over-the-top shenanigans actually helped advance the LGBTQ cause…

Senator David Vitter
Governor Bobby Jindal and Senator David Vitter

Oh, how the mighty of Louisiana have fallen.
Failed “religious freedom” fighter Gov. Bobby Jindal’s crappy leadership skills led to his funders finally cutting him off and resulting in his withdrawal from the 2016 presidential race. Now he’s back for a bit in the governor’s office, where his approval ratings have fallen to a historic low of 20 percent. (Ouch!) Even the state’s Republican voters disapprove of their governor, who has slashed education, health care and environmental funding to service the state’s massive deficit, triggered primarily by GOP tax cuts for oil companies and the wealthy.

Meanwhile, the bad bedroom behavior of “family values” politician and admitted prostitute patron Sen. David Vitter resulted in the state just electing a Democrat for governor to replace the aforementioned horrible Jindal. John Bel Edwards is set to take office on January 11, and he’s already pledged to issue an executive order protecting LGBTQ government employees and contractors from workplace discrimination as soon as he gets there.

Jindal and Vitter’s hypo-crazy was too much even for the solidly Republican state voters.
Thanks, fellas!

You can now buy sliced chocolate in Japan—sandwiches will never be the same!

From: Rocket News
Sliced ham? Sliced cheese? Sorry, but sliced chocolate is about to make everything else you can put on bread seem like chopped liver in comparison.
Despite its alcoholic-sounding name, Japanese company Bourbon actually specializes in chocolate. Still, its latest product seems like the kind of so-crazy-it’s-brilliant idea born out of a flash of heavily inebriated inspiration.
 Behold: sliced chocolate!
Each pack contains five two-millimeter (0.08-inch) thick slices of what Japan calls “nama chocolate,” a rich, creamy confectionary that’s not as sweet as fudge, but more intense in flavor than ordinary milk chocolate. The unique shape allows Bourbon’s inventive new treat to be used in a variety of ways.
Bourbon offers a variety of recipes on its website, including chocolate banana rolls…
 and super simple crepes.

For extra visual appeal, you can grab a cookie cutter and stamp out accents to add to chocolate-layered crackers…
 …or sliced fruit.

And if you want to serve your next group of houseguests something even fancier, the sliced nama chocolate’s flat form makes it easy to employ in preparing fruit truffles…

or beautiful chocolate roses.

But while this chocolate is of course great for when you’re entertaining company, we know what you’re all thinking: Can I slap a slice on a piece of bread for an instantaneous dessert sandwich?
Is this how peanut butter and jelly’s reign as Sandwich King comes to an end?

In addition to being sold in super markets, sliced nama chocolate is available through Bourbon’s online shop here. Online orders can only be placed for bulk bundles of a dozen five-slice packs (which cost 3,240 yen [US$27]), but somehow we imagine customers will have no trouble finding 60 occasions on which to enjoy this clever new take on chocolate.
