REFUGEE Is Not A Synonym For TERRORIST ... It Is An ANTONYM
From: Boy Culture
So far, 24 (!) governors have claimed they will not accept any Syrian refugees, in spite of the fact that:
Refugees would be more vetted than students or vacationers.
All of the known attackers in Paris were French citizens.
It's FUCKING ILLEGAL to deny them.
It's FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to disallow someone, once here, from living anywhere they please.
This is empty grandstanding, and it's all feeling very 9/11-Iraq-War-build-up.
23 Governors Say They Won't Take Syrian Refugees
Of course it's moronic -- not to mention illegal -- for U.S. states to refuse certain refugees. And of course it's moronic for assholes in Dearborn, Mich. -- which has a high population of Muslims -- to tweet: Let’s f--- that place up and send a message to ISIS. We’re coming!
His (valid) point is nearly erased by his (sophomoric) false equivalency
But it's also moronic to equate what happened in Paris (and dozens of other places) with Timothy McVeigh blowing up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995. The uncomfortable truth here is that there has been one McVeigh and a handful of Christian abortion-clinic bombers in recent times and THOUSANDS of murderous Islamic extremists, who are recruiting like wildfire. And until we are willing to acknowledge this and have an honest discussion about it, we will never be able to calm people's fears -- irrational or otherwise -- and reach a solution that satisfies anyone. To be clear, I am leery of ANYONE who identifies first and foremost BY THEIR FAITH, because if you truly follow most of the main doctrines -- Bible, Quran, Torah -- it will not be pretty ... especially for women, LGBT people and minorities. But even the wackiest and most hateful "Evangelical Christians" don't go around killing people en masse. Although military intervention in the Middle East has not gone well in recent history, you can't help but wonder where we'd be if we'd tried to snuff out ISIS in 2013 before it started spreading like Subway franchises.
The president probably regrets not going it alone, but it's hard to blame him for not doing it without the support of a Congress that already calls him "dictator in chief." Naturally, our nation's "representatives" were too concerned with midterms to stick their necks out one way or the other and we're all paying for it now. Call me Bill Maher all you want -- just please say I favor Ben Affleck -- but the facts speak for themselves.
Maher was right about the 9/11 attackers, too.

Dixie Chicks To Launch First North American Tour In 10 Years
Cowgirls, take us away.

The long exile is over: The Dixie Chicks will headline a new North American tour starting June 1, 2016, in Cincinnati.
The tour, which is set to wrap October 10 in L.A., marks the first time Natalie Maines and sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have headlined together stateside since 2006.
The Dixie Chicks topped country and pop charts in the 2000s, winning 13 Grammy Awards and legions of fans. The trio was effectively pushed out of the industry, though, after Maines criticized the Iraq War at a 2003 concert in London.
“We do not want this war [or] this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.”
Since then, the three have pursued European tours, solo albums and other projects.
In a 2013 Rolling Stone interview, Maines admitted the backlash made her feel “tainted.”
“I don’t know if we put a tour up, if people would come,” she fretted.
Now, two years later, the ladies are back to finish out their DCX MMXVI tour currently in Europe with a return home to the states.
Nashville better watch out.
There's no telling what will happen when the Dixie Chicks return to North America next summer for the DCX MMXVI World…

Davey Wavey’s Underwear Campaign Features Real Bodies, Real Stories
From: Queerty
Though it seems a counter-intuitive fit (no pun intended), YouTuber Davey Wavey — known for frequently showing off his shirtless chiseled exterior — has come out with an underwear line targeting queers of every shape and size.
Where the typical gay underwear brand favors lean six-packs and unrealistic sexual fantasy to entice shoppers, Davey’s promo video for his DirtyFit Cosmic Collection features gender nonconforming types who prove that there’s no law you have to look a certain way to feel sexy.
We completely agree, which isn’t to say we don’t also have an appreciation for the idealized aesthetic.
“Celebrating every body,” Davey wrote to accompany the promotion.
Of course, once you click through to the brand’s website, some familiar waistlines appear to assist you through the shopping experience:
