Captain Chesapeake

Original Channel
WBFF
(Baltimore, Maryland)
Captain Chesapeake was a morning and afternoon children's show on WBFF (channel 45) in Baltimore, Maryland hosted by George A. Lewis (born November 24, 1926; died December 18, 2000 at Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland) who portrayed "Captain Chesapeake". The show aired from April 1971 until 1990. Lewis hosted a similar show, Captain Pitt on WPTT (channel 22) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (which is now WPMY and is owned and operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., the same group that owns and operates Baltimore's WBFF). Lewis began his career as the children's host of the Steamboat Bill and Mr. Cartoon shows on WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, from 1957 until 1970. Lewis also acted as "Ghost Host" on WBFF's late night horror movie show, and did news on WBFF prior to 1988.
Children in Baltimore could become "crew members" on the show.
The Captain Chesapeake show began with the poem: "A shipwrecked sailor found himself in a plight. Lost at sea he was really a sight. He swam and swam 'til he thought he'd die, when a wondrous sight appeared to his eye. A derelict boat that saved his life and put an end to his watery strife."
The theme song was the Bob Crosby tune "Stumbling" by The Three Suns. This theme was played from a 33 rpm at 45 rpm speed.

Pretty relaxed kinda guy most of the time. Have been told im a bit of an old soul, seem to be a bit more mature than other guys my age. Not looking for anything in particular just taking things as they come. Up for friends/fun/FB/BF/LTR...Whatever.
Am getting into health and fitness, Gym a fair bit and like to keep active. Love the beach and getting outdoors (if anyone is up for hiking Bluff Knoll one weekend hit me up). Into my gaming (PC/Xbox), avid gin drinker and terrible dancer but i do it anyway :P
Like things mild to wild, i can be both sub and dom. Like masc guys who look after themselves, Beards, Body hair and a bit of muscle (enough to use your pecs and a pillow) are a big plus :D
Take a look at my intos and u will get a picture of the things i like doing, i do like the hardcore stuff, but also love being cuddled and spooned and all that lovey boyfriend crap.
Am up for a relationship, i do like dating, finding a mix of Boyfriend/Dom would be awesome.

Fernando Botero, Abu Ghraib 43 (2005). Courtesy Marlborough Gallery. |
The Columbian artist best known for his sculptures of endearingly curvy men, women, and animals tackled some uncharacteristically prickly subject matter in 2005 when he created a brutal series of paintings and drawings responding to the vile actions of US military offices at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison. “They may not be masterpieces, but that may not matter,” the New York Times‘s Roberta Smith wrote when Marlborough Gallery showed the works the following year. “They are among Mr. Botero’s best work, and in an art world where responses to the Iraq war have been scarce—literal or obscure—they stand out."

The dark side of the dunk tank.
Despite a deep bench of young beauties, including both significant early-’80s Heathers (Locklear and Thomas), Marc Singer (flawless in a Speedo, incidentally) selects Brenda Vaccaro, slumming at the time on short-lived prime-time soap Paper Dolls. Brenda was in her early 40s at the time, therefore invisible to Howard Cosell, who gives her this unforgettable honorific: “BRENDA VACCARO: A REMARKABLE WOMAN.” After much effort and obvious panic, she takes her seat in the tank, remaining clothed head to toe, sneakers and all. “It’s like Let’s Make a Deal,” she screams. (It is? In what way?) The spectating Network Stars (James B. Sikking! Michael J. Fox! Kim Fields!) react in exactly the way the campers do to Catskills comic Alan Shemper at the end of Wet Hot American Summer. After her inevitable dunking, she emerges from the tank flustered and short of breath, panting a simple request to the assembled crowd: “I’d like to just rest for a minute. Anybody got a martini?” Like spectators at this outdoor event would just have a martini. “Oh, sure, I’m glad you asked. I have a spare martini right here in my bag.” What are you even talking about, you remarkable woman? (I give this whole sequence bonus points for using Huey Lewis and the News’s “If This Is It” in the instant replay.)
Fun fact: I used to live a few doors down from Marc Singer, on one of those narrow, winding Hollywood Hills streets where the residents drive much too fast. Each morning, he and his golden retriever would go for a run, and despite the numerous sniff-worthy distractions and the oblivious drivers, he trusted the dog to stay at his side. No leash. And the dog did. Marc Singer is the actual Beastmaster, is what I’m saying. - Dave Holmes
