Tearing Off The Tux
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
Most years, after the awards have been handed out I have written a review of the Globes. Today, between live tweeting and Facebook, most of the reviews happen as the show airs, without the bother of having to look back and putting a little perspective on what was said. There is really not much to say, Amy and Tina rocked and should host everything always, Jacqueline Bisset came off as odd yes, but her career has lasted longer than most of the actors in the room and deserves respect for that alone. The jokes about her were old even before she left the stage. Some of the winners were head scratchers, but for the most part they were on point.
In the end, this is FH so my review is not so much on what was seen, but instead, the unseen. Most of the men gracing the stage have graced the pages of the blog over the years, and here is small sample of GG nominee's and presenters who look good in, and out of there tuxedo's.
Orlando Bloom
Channing Tatum
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Leonardo DiCaprio, getting better with age!
Chris Evans
Thor, the other Chris
And another Chris, this time Pine
I think people either thought he was dirty looking and odd or eccentrically hot. For me, Alex Ebert was hot!
Tina Fey's son Randy had a certain something something...
Your Adorable Hunk of the Day: Josh Hutcherson
Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire |
You can count me solidly amongst the fans of Josh Hutcherson. Not only handsome and talented, a huge ally for the gay community.
Bonus Hunk street cred: he's a child star who isn't messed up and in a downward spiral... he started acting at nine years old in a TV movie called House Blend.
Of course since then his career and notoriety has shot through the sky as he has brought The Hunger Games' Peeta to the big screen alongside co-star Jennifer Lawrence (who won a Golden Globe Sunday night for American Hustle!) Fans are obviously enamored with him as well, giving him a Hunger Games salute at a Kentucky basketball game.
Happy Birthday today January 14th

ABC Afterschool Specials
Pssst! Hammerman's After You
Original Air Date
January 16, 1974
Stars
Christian Juttner
Lance Kerwin
Titos Vandis
Pint-sized sixth-grader Mouse Fawley (Christian Juttner) is tired of being picked on by school bully Marv Hammerman (Jim Sage). Out of frustration, Mouse labels Hammerman as a "Neanderthal" -- and alas, word of this insult quickly reaches our hero's tormentor. Advised that Hammerman is coming after him, Mouse spends the bulk of this ABC Afterschool Special trying to run away from a dire fate -- until he finally realizes that he can't run away from himself. Ultimately, Mouse learns a valuable (if somewhat painful) lesson in self-respect.
A sixth-grader has a run-in with the class bully, who then wants to meet with him after school. Starring Lance Kerwin (James at 15, Enemy Mine) and Willie Aames (Eight Is Enough, Charles in Charge, Bibleman); based on Betsy Byars's novel.

Joseph Arsoony
The first Mr. Israel contest was held in 1950. This man, Joseph Arsoony, aged 24, won the contest in 1965. He is clearly proud of his arms and shoulders and has devised an unusual pose to show them off.
10 NON-PORN FILMS I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE

A PORTRAIT OF JAMES DEAN: JOSHUA TREE 1951
Oh, how I long for the Hollywood of yesterday, before TMZ and Lindsay Lohan’s lack of panties! This bio-pic starring James Preston—not to be confused with Marc Jacobs‘ ex-boyfriend, Jason Preston—could either be a disaster or a huge win, but I’m willing to take the risk.

Blake Skjellerup
1985 –
Blake Skjellerup (born 13 June 1985 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a short track speed skater who competed for New Zealand at the 2010 Winter Olympics; finishing sixteenth.
Skjellerup came out as gay in an interview with Australian magazine, DNA in May 2010, saying he had decided to wait until after the Vancouver Games to do so in order to focus on his performance and to avoid turning off potential sponsors. He is one of only a few openly gay Olympic athletes and was reported as having a boyfriend, also an athlete.
In 2011, Skjellerup and Matthew Mitcham, a gay Olympic athlete from Australia, were named by the Federation of Gay Games as ambassadors to the 2014 Gay Games in Cleveland, Ohio. Skjellerup also became an advocate for Pink Shirt Day, a nationwide campaign to fight bullying in New Zealand.
January 14th is Dress Up Your Pet Day
The National Dress Up Your Pet Day takes place on January 14, 2014. It was founded to celebrate pets and to support the pet fashion community as a fun way. Dress Up Your Pet Day is a good opportunity to dress up your pet with sweaters, booties and fashion accessories.
A pet is a household animal kept for a person's enjoyment. The most popular pets are noted for their attractive appearances and their loyal or playful personalities. Their pedigree may also be a factor. The most popular pets are dogs and cats, but there are also rodent pets, such as gerbils, hamsters, chinchillas, fancy rats, and guinea pigs.
