Alaska, Willam And Courtney Act Beat Each Other’s Faces In Hilarious Makeover

"It's like a makeup circle jerk."
From: NewNowNext
The American Apparel Ad girls, made up of Alaska, Willam and Courtney Act, each have their own unique look, but the girls decided to flip the script and paint one another’s faces to match their own individual drag styles.

After a lot of time spent reading each other as only good friends can truly do, the queens get down to business.

Courtney was the first one up, and had Willam beat her mug in her own legendary likeness.

Courtney was then responsible for painting Alaska, which had our reigning All Star feeling a little nervous.

“I have faith in you as a makeup artist, but you also have a tiny, little bird head that is just a beautiful woman’s little face,” Alaska said.

Finally, Alaska was in charge of painting Willam, who liked the final look so much she ended up wearing it on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Hurricane Bianca later that evening.

We won’t spoil the surprise by revealing their looks here, but check out the series of videos to catch the girls kiki while they create works of art on each other’s faces.

Dolly Parton: “You Should Be Allowed To Be How You Are And Who You Are”

Is a "9 to 5" reunion coming to "Grace and Frankie?"
From: NewNowNext
Queen of Country Dolly Parton was a guest on Larry King’s online talk show, Larry King Now to promote her newest album Pure & Simple. Aside from music the living legend spoke on other topics like her husband, politics and her support of the LGBT community.

“I keep saying, ‘If you’re the fine Christian that you think you are, why are you judging people?’ That’s God’s job,” she explained to King when he asked about push back from religious groups on her acceptance of LGBT people. “We’re not God, we’re not judges, we’re supposed to love one another, we’re supposed to not judge.”

“I just think that we should be more loving, more caring. We are who we are,” Parton said. “If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. And you should be allowed to be how you are and who you are.”

Parton also gives some details on how a 9 to 5 reunion with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin might happen on Grace and Frankie. She reveals that she will probably appear as herself and Grace and Frankie will go see her in concert in one of the episodes. “We’re gonna get me on there!”

Watch the entire interview below and stay to hear whether Parton believes in aliens and her story about the time someone left a baby named Jolene in a basket on her doorstep! It’s true!

“The Voice” Contestant Marries Boyfriend In New “My Guy” Music Video

Congratulations, guys!
From: NewNowNext
A contestant who was sent packing during The Voice’s blind auditions has released his first post-TV song, a cover of the Mary Wells’ 1964 hit “My Guy.”

The resulting “My Guy” turns out to be a love letter from Nicholas Ray to his boyfriend, Braxton, who joined him in support on The Voice earlier this month to tell judge Adam Levine how Nicholas wowed him with a performance of Maroon 5’s “Sugar” early in their relationship.

In a video for the new cover, Nicholas and Braxton exchange rings, get married, and share their first dance in a gorgeous room with a grand piano, where they sit down together as Nicholas tickles the keys.

Nicholas didn’t advance past the auditions round because the judge’s took issue with his falsetto, but who needs a celebrity’s approval when you have a good man waiting for you at home?!

Vote today! Gay coach up for ‘coach of the year’ honors

Nich Lee Parker, the head coach of the Columbia University lightweight rowing program, is up for US Rowing’s coach-of-the-year award. You can vote right now!
From: OutSports
Nich Lee Parker is the openly gay head coach of the lightweight rowing program
at Columbia University in New York City.
Nich Lee Parker, the openly gay coach for the Columbia University rowing team, has been nominated for a Coach Of The Year Award from U.S. Rowing. The success of Parker’s teams on the water have been powerful in recent years, and we hope you’ll click here to visit usrowing.org and vote for him.

US Rowing wrote about Parker:

Nich Lee Parker has guided Columbia University’s lightweight program to four consecutive medals at the IRA National Championships including the 2016 national title, the first IRA crown for any Columbia crew since 1929. Columbia posted a 9-1 regular season record and earned the WIT, Geiger and Subin Cups, as well as silver at the EARC Sprints.

Parker shared his thoughts on the meaning of this award with Outsports:

I’ve told the team for years that the reason I coach is to provide an environment where they can grow from who they are into whom they may become. This past year, as the team grew into a remarkable group that ultimately won the program’s first national championship since 1929, they also pushed me to grow in powerful ways. I think that symbiotic relationship is beautiful in its own right, but it was made even more special because of one simple fact: Of the hundreds of men’s D1 head coaches out there in every sport, I’m the only one that is openly gay….and these guys simply didn’t care. They wanted to be the best and they trusted a gay coach to take them there.

Having an out gay coach as successful as Parker is a powerful symbol for the LGBT community, and we hope you’ll take a moment to record your vote for him by clicking here here today.

Transforming Annaleigh Ashford In Columbia For “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”

"Columbia is the ultimate superfan."
From: NewNowNext
Fox’s upcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show reboot has some inspired casting—including Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank N. Furter, Adam Lambert as Eddie, and Broadway belle Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia.

Ashford has starred in Great White Way musicals including Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Kinky Boots, but playing that “Number One Frankie Fan” meant shaking up her image.

Columbia isn’t just in love with Eddie and Dr. Frank N. Furter, says William Ivey Long, the show’s Tony-winning costume designer, she’s the world’s biggest Rocky Horror devotee, complete with a homemade costume that pays homage to the original.

“Columbia is the ultimate superfan,” says Long. “She’s sort of our spirit guide into this world.”

Democrat’s GoFundMe Campaign Raises $13,117 to Reopen Firebombed NC GOP Office

From: Towleroad

David Weinberger, a Democrat from Brookline, Massachusetts, raised more than $13,000 in less than four hours to rebuild the NC GOP office that was firebombed over the weekend.

Weinberger called out to fellow Democrats to donate to a GoFundMe campaign, Quartz reports.

Wrote Weinberger on the campaign page:

As Democrats, we are starting this campaign to enable the Orange County, North Carolina Republican office to re-open as soon as possible. Until an investigation is undertaken, we cannot know who did this or why. No matter the result, this is not how Americans resolve their differences. We talk, we argue, sometimes we march, and most of all we vote. We do not resort to violence by individuals or by mobs. So, let’s all pitch in, no matter what your party affiliation, and get that office open again quickly.

WTVD reported on the attack:

It happened at 347 Ja-Max Drive and was discovered Sunday morning by another business owner. Officials said it happened between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. The graffiti included a swastika and the words “Nazi Republicans leave town or else,” which was spray-painted in black on the side of an adjacent building.
Authorities said the flammable substance ignited inside the building, burning furniture and damaging the interior of the building. It was contained in a bottle thrown through the window. The window had lettering on it that said, “Freedom Speaks.”
Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina Republican Party, called the attack “political terrorism,” and said the party will not succumb to it.

Governor Pat McCrory released a statement calling it “an attack on our democracy:”

“The firebombing of a local political headquarters in Orange County is clearly an attack on our democracy. Violence has no place in our society – but especially in our elections. Fortunately no one was injured; however, I will use every resource as governor to assist local authorities in this investigation.”

Hillary Clinton responded to the attack yesterday afternoon:

Donald Trump, of course, blamed the attack on “animals representing Hillary Clinton.”

Danny DeVito And David Margulies Are Gay Grumpy Old Men In “Curmudgeons”

And their romance is definitely going to make you laugh and cry.
From: NewNowNext
Danny DeVito won the hearts of audiences at the Tribeca Film Festival this year with his short film Curmudgeons — the story of two cranky male senior citizens who find themselves unexpectedly in love with each other.

DeVito directed the short, which was adapted from a play of the same name, and stars in it opposite David Marguilies in his final performance, as he passed away shortly after filming.

The movie is a family affair for DeVito, as it also stars his daughter Lucy and is co-produced by his son Jake.

DeVito and Margulies had been friends since 1968, back when they would perform in off-Broadway plays together, and the film serves as a sentimental swan song for their relationship.

Curmudgeons was recently selected to be Vimeo’s first official Staff Pick Premiere, and you can watch the film below.

Colton Haynes Refuses To Let Home Invasion Get Him Down: “I Am Okay”

Thieves reportedly made off with $6,000 worth of goods, including a laptop.
From: NewNowNext
Former Arrow star Colton Haynes’ Los Angeles home was burglarized last week but he refuses to be affected by the crime.

“Even though someone the other day broke into my house and stole a bunch of stuff, that’s not gonna get me down,” the newly-out star told fans in a Snapchat video.

TMZ reported that “burglars got in by smashing open a lockbox outside the garage” before “snatching between $5-6k worth of stuff, including a TV and a laptop.”

“My home was broken into a few days ago & alot was stolen,” Haynes added on Twitter. “I am ok.”

Fans on Twitter joked that the vandals were perhaps interested in getting their hands on new Colton Haynes-themed merchandise before it hits his website.

British Government Shuts Down Muslim School For Girls That Teaches Gay Men Should Be Executed

Students at Jamia Al-Hudaa Residential College for Girls were also reportedly told men should beat their wives.
From: NewNowNext
A school for Muslim girls in England has been ordered to close after a former student revealed some of the homophobic and sexist lessons students were being taught.

Aliyah Saleem told authorities that students at the Jamia Al-Hudaa Residential College for Girls are told men should be allowed to beat their wives and that gay people should be killed.

“At least four girls accused of being lesbians were expelled during my time,” says Saleem. “Teachers and pupils discussed it openly.”

She says she was expelled in 2011 for owning a disposable camera, though administrators at the Nottingham boarding school maintain she was “disruptive.”

The Department for Education has cut funding for the academy’s residential program, which account for 85% of the student body. Officials claim students lack “opportunity to learn and make progress and receive effective preparation for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life in British society”.

The school insists the decision is “completely biased and unfair,” and has started a crowdfunding campaign to privately raise the more than $240,000 needed to remain open.

Earlier this month, an American-born cleric who said gay men’s heads should be chopped off was found to be teaching at another Muslim school in London.

Andy Cohen: “Most Of The ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Are Voting For Trump”

He calls them "Trumpies."
From: NewNowNext
Andy Cohen, the brainchild of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise tweeted and then deleted who he thinks the cast members will be voting for—and according to Cohen the women from New Jersey and Orange County will be casting their ballot for Trump come Election Day.

Us Weekly obtained the tweet that was posted on October 8 where the Watch What Happens Live host spilled the beans:

“NJ are trump,” he wrote. “I so don’t care it’s all good. I think all the RHOC are trumpies and gd knows how else. All the RHOA and RHONY are HRC. Most of BH too. I …”

He followed up the tweet with another one possibly directed at the New Jersey Housewives who are planning to vote for Trump:

Cohen has been vocal about being #WithHer, attending events for Hillary Clinton and even traveling to Fire Island to meet Cher at a Clinton fundraiser this past summer:

He has also never stayed silent on his distaste for Trump:

“He’s basically an Orange County Housewife, at this point,” Cohen told CNN back in June. “He’s like a season one Orange County Housewife.’ He hasn’t gotten his makeup right yet, he says anything, he’s very provocative, he’s shocking, he’s inappropriate.”

This should make for an interesting reunion special!

Actor Noah Schnapp On Whether His “Stranger Things” Character Is Gay

From: Towleroad
"So I thought it would be time to jump into the conversation. I’ve been reading stuff for a while.
I think everyone here is missing the point. An author called Gary Schmidt came to speak at our school this week and he said that good stories aren’t supposed to leave you with answers because then you never question yourself and you forget about it.
A good book, or a good show leaves a lot of unanswered questions but makes you think. Which is what you are all doing.
For me, Will being gay or not is besides the point.Stranger Things is a show about a bunch of kids who are outsiders and find each other because they have been bullied in some way or are different. Does being sensitive, or a loner, or a teenager who likes photography, or a girl with red hair and big glasses, make you gay?
I’m only 12 but I do know we all relate to being different. And that’s why I think the Duffers wrote the show the way they did. So you can ask all these questions. I hope the real answer never comes out! #dufferbrothers ????”

Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp takes to Instagram to address the popular Internet theory that his character Will Byers is gay.
