Happy Birthday today February 23rd

Mirco only gets hotter with age!
Mirco Bergamasco (born 23 February 1983) is an Italian rugby union footballer. He primarily plays center, presently with Rovigo Delta, and internationally with Italy. Before joining Racing for the 2010–11 season, he had spent seven seasons with the other (and, in recent years, more prominent) Paris club Stade Français. Born in Padua, Bergamasco is the son of Arturo and the younger brother of Mauro Bergamasco, both Italian internationals. He made his international debut against France in the 2002 Six Nations Championship, having previously appeared against an All-Star XV in a non-cap international.
He established himself as a regular in the Azzurri side under John Kirwan, but suffered a jaw injury during the 2003 World Cup in Australia, and was forced to miss all but two of Italy's games – spoiling a great year which had seen him score three tries in the 2003 Six Nations Championship.
He switched to inside center from the back three and was considered one of the stars of the 2006 Six Nations Championship, scoring three tries in five matches.
Bergamasco appeared on the cover and in the 2004 edition of Les Dieux du Stade, a calendar in which French rugby players pose nude. He and his brother featured on the cover of the Italian version of the EA Sports game Rugby 08.
Though his position has primarily been that of the winger and center, in recent years, he has been one of the main goal kickers for Italy. This attribute came into effect in the 2011 Six Nations Championship match against France. Bergamasco kicked 6 from 8 against France, resulting in a 22-21 win for Italy, their first win in the Six Nations against the French.

Question For February 11, 2008

Should I purchase the DVD's for Queer as Folk?
I watched a few episodes early on, and for some reason could not get into it. I know the main reason was that Randy Harrison bugged the shit out of me for some reason. Not sure if it was the actor or the character, but his scenes were difficult to watch. Does his character or the actor get better? I want to watch this show, but wondering if anyone who saw the whole run thinks it is worth it and does Randy and the show improve? I did love Sharon Gless!

R.I.P Amy Vining!

From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
Actress Shell Kepler, Amy Vining on General Hospital for over 20 years passed away February 1, 2008 at the far too young age of 49. Shell was a breath of fresh air on the soap always lightening the mood with gossip and laughs.

Michelle Alaine Kepler, known professionally as Shell Kepler (October 5, 1958 – February 1, 2008[1]) was an American television actress best known for her work on General Hospital as "Nurse Amy Vining" from 1979 until 2002.

In the early 1980s, she fronted the band Shell and the Crush, releasing a five-song E.P. which contained songs like "Popular Girl" and "When You Look My Way".

In addition to her work on General Hospital, Kepler worked on the GH spinoff Port Charles, as well as other shows, such as CHiPs and Three's Company, and the 1982 movie Homework with Joan Collins.
Kepler was also a businesswoman, marketing clothing on the former Home Shopping Club. In a 1994 interview she claimed that her "Lacy Afternoon" collection had sales topping $20 million that year alone.

After her TV career ended she moved to Portland, Oregon and was active in charitable fundraising.

Kepler had one brother, Fred, who is named after their father. Kepler married and divorced twice, and had no children.

Kepler died on February 1, 2008, at Oregon Health & Science University from renal failure.

The February 26, 2008 episode of General Hospital was dedicated to Kepler, "In loving memory."
